Group interaction and group tracking for video-surveillance in underground railway stations

چکیده
In this paper we propose an approach to recognize behaviors of groups of people in the subway. Violent behavior or vandalism performed by a group can be detected in order to alert subway security. The proposed system is composed of 3 main layers: the detection of people in the video, the detection and tracking of groups among the detected individuals and the detection of events and scenarios of interest based on tracked actors (groups). The main focus of this paper are the group tracking and event detection layers.

متن کاملUsing Video Surveillance to Detect Dangerous Situations in Underground Stations by Computer Vision
Underground stations traditionally are a common application for video surveillance. Currently, humans have to be employed to control trains and stations to avoid harm to passengers and equipment using closed-circuit television (CCTV), but this personell has to watch at least 20 screens at the same time and could miss important events. However, the already installed surveillance equipment in sta...

With the increase of the number of cameras installed across a video surveillance network, the ability of security staffs to attentively scan all the video feeds actually decreases. Therefore, the need for an intelligent system that operates as a tracking system is vital for security personnel to do their jobs well. Tracking people as they move through a camera network with non-overlapping field...

متن کاملHygienic Environment of Railway Stations – Investigation and Countermeasures for Reduction of Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds (MVOCs) Generated by Fungi in Railway Stations – T. Kyotani,
It was made clear that many railway customers thought the major important factors which influence comfort of stations were “odors” and “clearness of air”. We also found that there was a high correlation between the evaluation of customers about odors and the amount of fungi floating in the air at several points of stations. So we consider that microbial volatile organic compounds (MVOCs) genera...
